Process of Art
Art is a continuing process. For me there is always another way to learn how to work with a media whether it is oil, graphite, acrylic or pastel. New surfaces to work with and different mediums to make the things work differently sometimes smoother more refined sometimes with more brushstrokes or lines.

Painting P. Allen Smith Moss Mountain
When a great opportunity was given to me by the staff at P. Allen Smith’s Moss Mountain I could not believe my good fortune. Painting all the beauty at the wonderful place is a great experience. There a separate gardens - the vegetable garden, the rose garden and the flower gardens with paths working east to west below the house. P. Allen’s poultryville which was established to maintain rare breeds of birds is a delight. I have three more weeks at this beautiful place.

Roses Roses
I love painting roses. I never experienced them growing up and can't ever get enough of them now.

Painting Wildlife
Earlier this fall I headed out to my most favorite place to paint Two Rivers Park in Little Rock. The community gardens are there next to a large hayfield I have painted several times. This last visit there was a large flock of Canadian geese and they were working their way through the field pushing their heads down into the cut grasses, scooping grass bits and I am sure some insects. It was so interesting to watch. I was so fortunate to have may good camera and lense with me. This is small painting of one of the pairs.
